So I was trying to do a teardown of my 3ds, just to do some cleaning. I got to the motherboard and didn’t understand how to properly remove the ribbon cable, which lead to the head of the cable breaking off into it’s socket. Any ideas of how to remove it safely so I can add a new cable? If you’re wondering it’s the 3ds R button that is the problem. Thanks in advance :)
You can try with some thin tweezers. Start on the sides that DO NOT have the pins connecting to the motherboard. From the orientation on your picture, that would be left and right, not up and down. It should come out fairly easy.
