Hello all, I have a Russell Hobbs retro style coffeemaker that’s about four years old, and the coating on the warming plate is starting to come off. It looks almost like Teflon or something non-stick but I can’t be certain and the manual doesn’t say. They don’t have any replacement parts and didn’t answer when I asked how to repair it. Does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe a tiny amount of heat-resistant black enamel paint like what’s used in oven repair kits would work, but maybe that’s overkill? Any help you could give would be great, thanks!
HI @glitterninja , I think you’d get away with Heat resistant spray paint. Just make sure to use degreaser or alcohol to clean up the plate first. You could also give it a quick sand with a wire wool or fine grit sandpaper (240 or higher) so the paint stick to it properly. Hope it helps!
