Advice sought to repair paper feed mechanism for our anicent Canon Pixma iP1000 printer. the paper is drawn into the printer but is not being fed in properly within the printer. Thanks for any suggestions, Amrit
Here’s a video of someone with the same problem, although not the same printer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lD70yNOi… In short, check that the rollers aren’t jammed, clean them and check that they role easily, apply a tiny bit of oil to the ends if they don’t. The video uploader found that a spring in charge of pushing paper had worn down and was no longer outputting enough torque, his solution was to pull the spring and wrap it around one of the hooks, ghetto, but I imagine it works. Let me know if this fixes your issue.
