My A1278 late 2008 MacBook’ backlight has not working, but I can light up the flashlight close to the screen, and I can the screen is working, just the backlight is not working( like the picture), so what’s the solution of this problem?
You’ll need to get someone to fix your logic board. The backlight driver logic tends to breakdown with age.
Jsut replace the display unit. It’s hard enough removing the display, plus it’s near impossible to remove the screen from the casing/switch backlights. Good luck!
