I’ve read that the battery is not replaceable, but I wonder if someone has managed to replace it somehow and if so, how, and which replacements were used? (Not yet needing it, but would be nice to know for the future)

sorry but your answer is for the backbeat go, not for the back beat pro

I came across this video showing how to replace the battery in the Plantronics BackBeat https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpfpfutF

I have a backbeat pro 2 headset since 3 or 4 years and the battery recently died, I can’t reload it anymore, the charging led remain red even if I let it charge several hours. I dismanteled the headset and I saw the battery is on the left side. The battery is soldered to the PCB so if you want to change it you need a soldier iron. The characteristics of the battery are: 5cm long and 3mm wide, 650mAh, 3,7V. I think you can find similar batteries on internet but non official. I will try to change it mine soon, hope I will have no problem with a chinese battery.
