I recently cracked my screen on my phone and it has been getting worse. I don’t want to bring it to a store to replace it, as they charge $80 (rip off). Looking online, I’ve seen digitizers, LCD screens, combinations, etc. Am I alright to buy a digitizer and install this myself? Do I need an LCD and digitizer combo? How can i repair at home for under $50
The LCD and digitizer are fused together, so you need or order a display assembly. Looking around, it looks like that display goes for about $100, which is pretty cheap for a Samsung display. Most are $150-$200.
