the audio on my iMac has become very scratchy. how do I know if it’s the speakers or a different audio component part? can external speakers be added to resolve the issue?
On the back of your system you should see two 3.5-mm analog/optical combo output jacks one is the speaker and the other for the microphone. Just plug in a speaker to check it.
