Hi My harddrive got completely broken, so I had to install new one. Unfortunately I don’t have recovery CD for win 7 home prem 64 bit. I called Samsung they redirected me to company samsungparts. This company no longer have these CDs. What should I do? I tried to download win 7 Iso from Ms site , they required to enter the license key, when I did, the prompt was that for these system I need to go to OEM ( samsung). Is it possible to obtain these cd or download it from somewhere? I have a recovery cd from Dell xps laptop for the same system win7 home prem 64bit, But I am not sure it will work for samsung Any advices
Three years later…As a Samsung user, my research and calls to Samsung support led me in a useless circle as yours did :-(. For very little money an ISO of Win7 Home Pre can be downloaded. The file would be burned to a DVD. Prepare your system for install. Make sure your BIOS seeks to run from your CD/DVD first before during start of OS. The ISO dvd must be in your drive. Reboot and the BIOS runs the ISO file. Follow directions with a “custom” install.
