How To Restring A Wall Mounted Hills Clothes Line Hills Wall Mounted Clothes Line

I have a wall mounted Hills clothes line and need to restring it but it has plastic “clips” that the string goes in to. I can’t see any way of getting the “clips” open or off the side of the line to insert the line. The line is older and doesn’t have a model number or name on it.
