I bought Asus vivobook s15 laptop just few days ago. When I received it, opened and started to use. Second time when I turned it on, wifi didn’t connect, it showed white star on wifi icon. I think it’s connected to the updates that the laptop does before shutting down. Everytime when I turn laptop on, wifi doens’t connect automatically. I would like to know how to solve this issue, as I just bought my laptot, and don’t want to have problematic laptop
Forget the wifi network and connect to it again, make sure that the “check” is on for “Connect Automatically”. And check if it works. If not, try a driver update (from the Asus website with your laptop model/name) and Windows updates. If that don’t work, check the model/name of your Wi-Fi chip and go to the website of the manufacture for an update.
Others things to check as well is: Can it connect to the Wi-Fi at other locations or at your home. I would check for any failed updates, koppie007 is right, it could be simply an update did not finish, or could have been a bad drive installed and ASUS website would have the correct one.
