Chosen Solution

Would appreciate any help with this, it’s so annoying even the dog leaves the room! It beeps when it boils, it beeps when you lift it, it beeps and you put it back on the base! I’ve bought a triangular screwdriver but can’t see where to go from here without destroying the base….ARGH!

Chosen solution is incorrect. It beeps when you plug it in, it beeps when you start it, it beeps when you put the kettle onto the base, and it beeps three times when ready. Source: my parents have the %#*@ thing and it’s a nightmare.

The actual solution is to hold down the stop button for 3 seconds, this will activate/deactivate the beeping.

Why is there a beep? Honestly, so pointless. Fortunately this gent has solved the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNZ-w5XY… This kettle has the buzzer in the base, and it’s quite not the same as in the video, you’ll see a circular disc right underneath a seven-hole ‘speaker’ vent in the plastic you take off. Then snip the red & black joined wires. I cut back the excess and covered the ends not going attached to the buzzer in electric tape. Reassemble and enjoy your cupper in peace…

I know this reply comes a little late but I’ve just hacked mine by taking the base apart (if you don’t have a triangle screwdriver, you can use a small hex head or a small torx head) and removing the little disk from the piezo buzzer, as shown in the following video :https://youtu.be/cNZ-w5XYVZ8 %#*@, it’s so much better without that annoying beep!!
