Hi, I am looking for some help on troubleshooting my TV’s ARC port. I have looked online and couldn’t find a simple way to tell if it is functioning properly, would anyone happen to know what my options are besides hooking up other sound systems through the port? TV is an LG SJ8500
@irishtatertot that is a weird error. I wonder if that is embedded in the settings. As you probably already know, on your TV only HDMI2 supports ARC. I would also try a new HDMI cable. The audio circuitry ion on your main board so you could check on that for missing components, corrosion etc. Ultimately, there is no separate test for ARC functionality. WE would at least need the schematic for the main board (not available) to check the circuitry.
