My cursor is seeming to dwell and click randomly and I can’t seem to turn it off. I can’t find anything under preferences nor within google extensions (e.g. Google Read and Write). Is it something on my trackpad? It really is random as I can’t make it work by just pausing the cursor over something. It just will happen. I’d like to turn it off because I’ve opened documents and sent emails unexpectedly. Thank you!

Well your trackpad does need replacing 13” MacBook Air Trackpad - Mid 2013 / Early 2014 / Early 2015, Apple P/N 923-0438 What likely happened is you used a spray cleaner on your uppercase which seeped under the trackpad onto the connections which are very close to the edge. In fact this trackpad is in short supply as you are not the only one that has done this or had a liquid spill which got it. Another COVID-19 Casualty! So from now on spray the cleaner on the cloth to then wipe the surfaces and don’t use the wet wipes as they tend to be too wet!
