Is there a chemical such as draino that I can use to unclog a dishwasher arm? I’ve tried a pin but it’s not working.
If the arm is stainless, Drano can stain and do damage to rubber and other parts, If there’s a white powdery deposit, this may be minerals in water, building up calcium to clog passageways and holes. If the arm can be removed, soaking it in a vinegar solution will dissolve mineral deposits. A stronger solution from boating to descale heat exchangers may be used. CLR is one solution to dissolve built up deposits on metal.
