The screen on my MBP broke, and I wanted to take it apart and build a custom case to use it as a desktop. I’ve basically done it, and it works (with the power pad trick.) But I don’t know how to wire or solder a new button to turn it on. And I also can’t find any simple parts. Please help!
The power button is part of the keyboard assembly. I think you should be able to remove the button from the power button then solder on the two spots on the button to make a button from there.
