Some time ago, the spring am guessing that supports the LCD display broke. Now the display just flops loosely. Can I get just the springs? Or have to get the complete display? (Key 4 - Y7) Product # DR089U / Screen Pn. 365895-001 If so, price and available?
Hi, Usually when a display won’t remain upright it is due to loose or faulty hinges or hinge mounts. Here’s the maintenance and service guide for the laptop. Go to p.5-18 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the display assembly Looking at the guide it appears that the hinges are part of the display assembly and not a separately available part. They are also not shown in the HP PartSurfer parts list for the product number you quoted - see link below. Just wondering where you got the display part number from though? According to the guide the part number for a 17” display assembly is 344894-001 - see p.3-3 Item #1 or p.5-18 in the maintenance guide. (The supplier in the link is an example only to show the display assembly part along with the hinges attached). This corresponds to the part number in the HP PartSurfer list for a HP Pavilion ZD7000 notebook with a product number of DR089U i.e. a ZD7020US (click on Customize your search results > Keyword select Display > Apply)
