My Huawei P9 touch screen isnt working after screen and frame replacement. Everything lights up and the swipe to unlock kinda flashes. With random jabbing at the screen I can get to the unlock screen but little else. Any advice?
Just had my sisters P9 screen replaced and simillar story, touch works but swiping does not.After crawling my way into developer options and enabling overlay to show the digitizer data, I’ve found out that screen does actually detect swipes, just the OS does nothing with them.I’ll be trying some things to get it working and keep on updating if I manage to get something out of it for anyone having the same issue.
Okay, I forgot a bit about the whole thing, but it’s time for an update.So basically, I’ve downgraded from Android 7 back to 6 and to my surprise, it worked.Swiping works normally, as well as taping and everything.Not sure if it works after updating back to Android 7 (I may have bricked the phone trying to sideload the update since the OTA refused to work for some reason.), but at least I hope it helps somebody.If it still works after updating, please let everybody know.
