You have one of two things happening. Either the humidity is below 25 percent and the unit is operating, or the humidistat has a loose connection and the unit isn’t operating. The humidistat is in the cord, so if the unit is not operating, the cover needs disassembled to find the loose wiring. If the unit is operating, the humidity will eventually rise within the range of measurement.
