I have an older Dell desktop that is originally windows 7 however was updated to windows 10. I am trying to take it apart and replace some of the parts for gaming pc although I’m having a tough time trying to identify these parts
Hi @codyrozemaoff , If Win 10 is working try the following: To identify amount and type of RAM, right click on the taskbar and select Task Manager. In task manager, go to Performance > Memory. The amount and type will be shown on the right of the box, e.g. 3.0 GB DDR2 Alternatively, open a command window (click on Windoes start button and type cmd in search box) and enter the following command: wmic MemoryChip get BankLabel, Capacity, MemoryType, Speed, Tag then press the Enter key. Be sure to leave the spaces as shown in the command line. To view details about other components, open Device Manager. (Right click Windows Start button, left side of taskbar and select Device Manager). When in Device Manager click on arrowhead to the left of device of interest e.g. Disk drives and view information about installed HDDs. You can also try right click on device and then select Properties > Details
