i am unable to get to screen to unlock, the swipe will not work
sweetey that sounds like a bad/failed digitizer. Of course you already tried a reset etc. to rule out software related issues. You would have to replace the display assembly Samsung Galaxy S7 Screen Replacement If you have the tools and the experience you can of course also replace the digitizer only. This is fairly complicated and would require you to have the proper tools.
