Chosen Solution Okay so, my gpu (6970m 2go) is dead and i was going to change it. since on many site the price is high, would a GTX 780 M work ? example : this one : http://www.goo.gl/wmGUho (had to shorten the link) and if not, is there a way to know which card is compatible ? I did a lot of repair and pieces change, thanks to ifixit but never an upgrade with a non-apple component and since i need my computer, it would be a nice time to try, giving my mac another boost....

Chosen Solution Hello, I just got a mid 2010 27" i7 iMac, and it has graphics failure, I’m pretty sure. It has artifacts on the screen, which are odd colored pixels randomly dotted around, and will occasionally log me out or restart. What are my replacement options? Will a graphics card from any unibody iMac work? The iMac currently has a Radeon HD 5750 with 1GB of ram. I’m fine with a downgrade, as long as the card can still power the large display....

Chosen Solution My probook640G3 have replaced a new hard drive and can’t boot from USB drive. What should I do? paulgivens since you replaced the HDD you will no longer have a recovery partition etc. you would have to reinstall your OS from either an optical drive or USB drive. You do however have to change the computer boot order, which is the order of devices listed in BIOS where the computer looks for startup information....

Chosen Solution The charging port is damaged and was wondering if there was any way on bypassing it Lidia Ascencio, not quite sure what you mean by bypassing. You will need some port in order to charge the battery. I would suggest a charging cable, cut the micro USB end off and solder the wires to the contacts on the port. Of course, if you can find a replacement port, unsolder the old one and replace with a new one....

Chosen Solution It seems like the top is a nut, but cant turn it.. I read other answers .. does this model have four snap-ins or what You have to work the plastic piece from the top of the carousel. Under it you will find a screw. Remove the screw. Then turn the carousel on its top. You will see places around the edge that you need to use a flat screwdriver to pry the locks loose....

Hmm, I think that the problem is that your device is damaged most likely the battery, which will need to be replaced. I don’t know exactly how to take it apart, but you’ll need to look for a seem on the device and put something like this or a razor blade into the seem and gently pry the two sides apart....

Chosen Solution My phone got into water while I was doing white water kayaking. Water was not absorbed immediately, but I put the phone into a zip bag with dryrites. Now it is completely dried.
