You might consider plugging into ethernet temporarily and updating those drivers to see if it resolves the issue. Check if you can connect to your home network with a 2nd laptop. If you can, then the 1st laptop has something wrong with either the wifi module itself, or the drivers for the wifi module is not installed/the wrong one....
