Chosen Solution Help No Display but Fans Spin etc So it didn’t work at first, then i messed around cant remember what i did but it started working after opening for a while then i opened again to put things better in place. It has a blank display not connecting to HDMI, but powers up, fans spin etc. I have tried hairdryer, cleaning MOBO, External Monitor, Heating GPU, Taking both batteries out,, Power for 60 secs etc....

Chosen Solution My Communicator was left on display on it’s unplugged charging base for about 7 or 8 months. The unit would not power up and when I plugged in the charger to charge the unit, the light does not strobe from yellow to red when the Communicator is placed on the charger, but stays strobing blue to green. Using one of these flash drives should work. Alternatively, if your phone has a SD card, transfer contacts to it and then to a USB drive using a computer.

It’s not really needed. It’s an INCREDIBLY easy repair compared to a lot of tablets. If you’re not experienced at removing glass or repairs in general, you might want to consider NOT using a metal tool to remove the glass, but something like a plastic pry tool, a thin plastic spudger, or an old credit card actually works VERY WELL for this purpose....

Chosen Solution I was trying to unscrew the attachment to my Hot Fix tool and unscrewed the heating element part. Now the tool doesn’t heat up. I may have damaged the heating element when I pulled it out of the cylinder. Please help! avmvegas it does sound like you are now having issues with the heating coil. Use an ohmmeter and measure the resistance across the heating coil. Let us know what you find out....

Try the ideas from here Ultimately you will have to perform some work as shown on here or contact Lenovo directly. Back before the Intel Boot Guard machines, you could find the ATMEL chip and short 2 lines out quickly (I don’t reveal these to avoid being caught up in a legal nightmare, but it’s been mentioned by others) or use a specific tool found online to clear this up....
