Chosen Solution My Canon EOS 70D has a dim optical viewfinder. It is so dim that the exposure metering in the viewfinder overexposes by nearly three stops. I can compensate with exposure compensation, but the optical viewfinder is still dim. I would rather fix the problem than patch it over. I have reset all of the camera’s settings and updated to the 1.1.3 firmware. The battery is fresh. Nothing in the optical viewfinder looks or sounds loose....

Chosen Solution my cameras shutter button fell off Samuel Brown, If under warranty return for repair/replacement/refund. I am not sure if you could use a tiny bit of epoxy to carefully glue the button back on with out causing trouble or not. Links below are a replacement Function Dial Shutter Switch Button replacement cover assy. and a partial disassembly guide that may help in changing the top cover piece assy. If not comfortable working on the camera take into a good local shop and have them estimate repair....

Chosen Solution My 2017 MacBook Air was having storage issues so I used Apple’s support system, they basically had me redownload MacOS, when my laptop didn’t redownload the OS (MacOS High Sierra) they told me to book an appointment. I know Apple will just get me to buy a new one (that’s like $1,000 I’m not willing to spend.)And I also don’t know how much it’ll cost for them to fix it....

The glass itself is fine, and the touch seems fully functional, but when I turn it on the screen is completely messed up. I also have another tablet exactly the same that stopped charging a while ago but the screen worked fine. Chosen Solution One of the fans in my iMac has become very noisy (rattles). I suspect that the optical drive fan is the culprit as source of the noise is from the right hand side. However, the noise is continuous which is odd for a device which is only activated when a disk is inserted. According to smcFanControl the ODD is running at 1400rpm even when no disk is present. If I increase the fan speed to over 2000rpm the rattle disappears and the noise becomes more “fan-like”....

Chosen Solution I have removed the plastic trim and the retaining nut but am not able to remove the wiper arm by attempting to pull it off and also with a battery cable remover. epeerens it is just a pressfit on the linkage. What you have here are two dissimilar metals that love to corrode and seize. Try to spray some silicone lubricant and let it soak for a bit. Then use a rubber mallet and hit the wiper arm a couple of times at the joint where the arm bends....

Chosen Solution how can i fix dead lan port in my desktop? i just try to install a video card after that lan port its not working…. Is the LAN port on the motherboard or an adapter? If it is an adapter, try reseating in, make sure it fits securely and level with the motherboard. You can try pinging the adapter in a command prompt with “Ping 127.0.0.1” if you get a time out then the adapter is probably bad....

Chosen Solution One of my HDMI ports fell into my TV when changing the sockets. Attached are photos it seems that the other one isn’t working either. Update (11/03/2020) it is an LG 55LJ5500-UA I believe it’s an inexpensive fix but would like more info J D could be that the ports just need to be resoldered (both) but it is also possible that this board has multiple solder issues. If resoldering of both ports won’t work, I suggest to replace the complete board....
