Chosen Solution Hi esteemed tech gurus, I get a fair bit of work replacing the old lame HDDs for SSDs in this model as well as in the 15” 2012 . I now over the years have lost two perfectly good SSDs to the dreaded flex cable failure, which as you know can completely fry a HDD or SSD at worst, and really confuse it at best. I would like to know if there is a means for me to tell when a flex cable is about to implode on itself and the SSD....

Chosen Solution How would I do a factory rest on this device? I cant get in to use the actual phone. This is the phone with the buttons on the back right? If the device can be turned on, then press all three buttons (power and vol up + down) simultaneously until android recovery pops up. Select wipe data and choose yes. This usually wont delete pictures, downloads, or anything on sdcard0, but will reset the phone....

Chosen Solution The left side of my beats solo 2’s hinge side (the thing where it says solo) is broken. IT dislodges the upper part of the beats. Help. How do I fix this? Chosen Solution My Alcatel one touch idol three’s power button stopped working a couple of weeks ago to the point whenever I had to press the button multiple times to get the screen to turn on and off. I have insurance on it through cricket but the deductible is $75. I want to know if it’s worth it to buy the button from someplace like new egg and try to fix it myself or to choose the hefty deductible....

Chosen Solution Every time I use video function phone can’t record music clearly. It’s always muffled when base hits. Check the mic port to see if its clogged with dust, if it isnt there is nothing you can do, the phone just isnt good enough quality capture good audio.

Chosen Solution I have opened the device but the battery seems to be stuck is there any way to reremove it myself there are two screws hold the back of the phone remove those screw ,one located above the sd card and the other on the right corner , and remove sim card and sd card , then take the cover off , the battery is light glue to the phone, used something like a thin plastic object to remove battery ,the battery conector remove up ward and replace down ward ....

Chosen Solution Two of my work provided cameras have taken greats falls from two story roofs! The first a coolpix aw110 works fine but has a shatter in the lens which can be seen from the outside…pictures turn out rather blurry. How do I take this camera apart to replace the lens? Chosen Solution I get a few iphones off ebay and use the advanced replacement to get some clean refurbished ones to sell. (sometimes i mod them white). Now the screws come with torx plus. i used a T1 screwdriver and that started stripping the screws. Can u tell me how to remove them? i was thinking of using a dremel if all else fails. since i got 4 full white kits and i need to use them....

Chosen Solution I have a Logitech M570 mouse. the little glass that is inside of it (I think it is the sensor that reads the trackball) got scratched, and now it is not working. The mouse on the computer moves in random ways. Is there a place I can get that replacement part for this mouse? I tried looking everywhere, with no luck. Thanks for any help you can provide....

Chosen Solution My JBL TUNE 710BT was accidentally dropped and now the power button seems stuck… Also, there wasn’t any JBL 710BT so I had no choice @heretofixitems remove the ear cushion and see if that allows you to remove the driver (speaker) that should reveal the circuit board and switch. See if it has become dislodged. If it is broken/broken it’ll be difficult to find a direct replacement. you may have to do an online search for a microswitch that will fit the dimensions of yours....

Chosen Solution This is not a answer just a question. I have a stylo 5 and I had it drop in the toilet. I got it out as soon as I dropped it and it seemed like it was ok. It was a little bit after that it’s screen went black and wouldn’t turn on. I put it in rice and that’s where it is now. My question is what else can be done with it to get it to work again?...

Chosen Solution When I plug the hdmi port into my gtx 1070 it don’t work but when I plus in the display port it works fine how do I fix this You’ll maybe have to open up the card to do this. Get a needle or similar and gently nudge each pin from the port connecting to the board. If any move they will need re soldered. Solder cracking is pretty common, especially in devices that get hot....

Chosen Solution I had my phone repaired at a local shop for a dodgy aux port. They replaced this part but I now have no signal whatsoever the carrier settings don’t even show and the battery died extremely fast. The back gets really hot and to top it off the aux port is fuzzy and crap. I went back and they replaced the part again turns out to be exactly the same....
