Chosen Solution Hello! My 2010 13” MacBook Pro is advising to replace battery. It’s on its second iFixit-supplied battery this year. According to the System Report, the battery is fully charged (slightly overcharged, according to CoconutBattery screenshot). However, disconnecting MagSafe while system is powered on, it shuts down abruptly. Further, with MagSafe disconnected, system will not power up. I’ve reconnected battery, reset SMC, charged overnight (approx. 12hrs): Nothing’s working. For what it’s worth, the battery does look a bit swollen....

I spilled water over the top of my closed Lenovo Yoga 700-11ISK, opened & dried it off, pressed the power button only to find that the power indicator was on, with the power button LED flickering — it would not turn off with subsequent depressions. It was quite some time before I was able to open the back & disconnect the battery. Leaving the back cover on but unfastened, I placed it in a shallow pan on a bed of rice and covered it with plastic wrap to try to dry whatever water got into it (this worked to revive at least two other cell phones that went swimming)....

Chosen Solution My V20’s screen stopped working suddenly. I opened it up and spotted lots of corrosion around the connector between the screen assembly and the motherboard. I cleaned it up with some isopropyl alcohol, but I couldn’t get some of the pins on both sides of the connector to look totally gold again. I put it back together and the screen works now with some new ghosting issues, but the digitizer totally doesn’t work....
