Replacing the home button connector is a fairly advanced level solder job. This is really not something you should try if you don’t have board level repair experience. All it will do now is put them on One Drive which is useless because I don’t have any other device that uses One Drive. Nor do I want to get one. At some time the computer will die. I put it back together and I am able to point and click with it, but I lost the “magic” touch capability for scrolling, etc. I think it’s because the orange tab that is part of the capacitive touch sensors isn’t connected to the circuit board in the mouse. It seems I will have to remove the unit and dis assemble it in order to install the light since there seems to be no access plate inside the unit. The phillips-head screw on the rail is stuck on really hard, and will not spin no matter how hard I try pushing with my screwdriver. The screw is not stripped. SteamVR gives error code 10010, and pointing my phone at the tracker shows 9 active IR lights coming through in the main grid, and one down below. Sadly where I live, shipping this base station back to have HTC take a look at it will cost a ridiculous amount.
