It looks like I damaged the LED backlight power cable when reassembling the iMac (it’s a iMac 21.5" EMC 2389). I tried to fix/solder the cable but it still is not working. The phone works fine turns on perfect it didn’t seem to get recognised by a computer when I plugged it in but would really like to recover those pics and files. Did you try another USB cable? Cleaning out the USB port? If you can connect trough Bluetooth you can use software like Recuva, it’s from the same company as CCleaner and free and easy to use :) Just make sure you point Recuva to the right disk...
