I am thinking of adding more RAM so I want to figure out if it’s going to work if I just add 1x4GB and leave one slot empty in case I’d like to add more RAM or I have to fill both free slots with 2GBs? Chosen Solution If I plug it in the power light will turn white for a sec then turnoff and not charge Typically when I see something behave like this (sign of power for a brief moment, then off) it is cutting power to itself to prevent damage due to a short circuit. Something inside was likely hit with water and has shorted out. Unfortunately, I can’t really say what without pulling it apart and testing components....

I used the guide here (4g ipod touch), and after taking it apart, i plugged in the new digitzer/lcd, and it worked! Chosen Solution Before you go posting links to articles and videos I have to say I’ve tried superglue, rubber band and duct tape method! One screw is halfway out so I tried Gently using pliers and did not work either. I’m guessing the tool kit I bought from amazon is what did this. The top of the screws are stripped. There’s no grip left because I’m assuming this new pentalobe screwdriver wore it away....

Please help. a few more informations would make it easier to answer this. but in general - most “older” (or better) stereo recievers had a potentiometer to regulate the volume - if that part is faulty (scuffed contacts) the volume knob can not longer work properly but to see if it’s defective you have to open it - maybe exchanging the part would be easier then cleaning/repairing it (if that would be possible for the used potentiometer in this device)...
